Evidence-based longevity research for menEditorial standards and review policy

Our Editorial Process

How we research, write, review, update, and correct every article.

Editorial Standards

Every claim published on Men's Longevity Research is linked to its source. We draw from peer-reviewed studies, clinical trials, and established medical references. When the evidence is mixed, we say so. When something is promising but preliminary, we say that too. We would rather be honest than viral.

Our evidence thresholds:

  • Strong evidence: Multiple randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, or meta-analyses with consistent results.
  • Moderate evidence: At least one well-designed RCT or multiple observational studies with consistent findings.
  • Preliminary evidence: Early-stage research, animal studies, or small pilot trials. Always labeled as such.

We do not present preliminary findings as established science. If a compound has only been studied in mice, we say "in animal models" — never "proven to work."

Review Process

Articles are reviewed by our editorial team for factual accuracy against the primary literature cited. Reviewers verify that claims are supported by the referenced studies, that dosage and outcome data are accurately reported, and that the strength of evidence is fairly characterized.

Our review process checks for:

  • Accuracy of cited claims against the original study
  • Correct reporting of dosages, populations, and outcomes
  • Appropriate characterization of evidence strength
  • Clear distinction between correlation and causation
  • Identification of conflicts of interest in cited research

Author and Reviewer Policy

Articles on Men's Longevity Research are written by researchers and writers with subject-matter expertise in longevity science, nutrition, exercise physiology, and related fields. Professional review means that a second member of our editorial team independently verifies claims against the cited literature before publication.

Where an article lists "Professionally reviewed by" followed by a name and credential, this indicates that the named reviewer has checked the article for factual accuracy against primary sources. This is editorial fact-checking — not medical advice and not a substitute for consultation with a licensed healthcare provider.

Commercial Content Policy

Our editorial content at menslongevityresearch.com is independent. Product reviews and affiliate partnerships appear on our deals pages (under the /deals/ path). These are clearly separated from editorial content.

Editorial recommendations are never influenced by commercial relationships. When an article contains affiliate links, this is disclosed at the top of the page. We may earn a commission from products purchased through affiliate links — at no extra cost to the reader.

Our product evaluation criteria are based on published research, transparent labeling, and clinically-supported dosing — not commercial incentives.
